Superannuation

Make the most of your super, in the years that count.

For most people, super becomes their biggest asset by the time retirement comes into view. The decisions you make about it in your 50s and early 60s can make a real difference, and I'm here to help you make them with confidence.

Questions we'll work through together

  • Are we contributing the right amount, in the right way, before we retire?
  • Is our super invested sensibly for the time we have left to retirement, and beyond it?
  • Should we bring our super funds together, and is our current fund still the right one?
  • How and when can we start drawing on our super?
  • Who will receive our super if something happens to us, and have we set that up properly?

Contributions with a purpose

The years leading up to retirement are often when people have the most room to add to their super, and the rules about how much you can contribute, and how, have plenty of moving parts. I'll help you work out what makes sense for your situation, so every extra dollar is working towards the retirement you're planning.

Choosing a fund and an investment mix

As an independent adviser, I'm not tied to any super fund, so I can look at yours with fresh eyes. Sometimes the right answer is a different fund or investment option; often it's keeping what you have and simply making sure it's set up well. Either way, you'll understand why.

From saving to spending

At some point your super shifts from something you add to, to something you live on. Getting that transition right, including when to start a retirement income stream and how much to draw, is one of the most valuable parts of a retirement plan, and it's something I help with every day.
